Austin, Texas – Aug. 25, 2017 IDERA, Inc., the leading provider of database, development, and test management tools, today announced an agreement to acquire Sencha, a leading web application development platform. Sencha will be integrated with Embarcadero, IDERA, Inc.’s developer tools division.

Sencha’s Web Application Development Platform empowers companies to seamlessly design, develop and test feature-rich, cross-platform web applications for desktops, tablets and smartphones. In recent studies, customers using Sencha’s full-stack enterprise solution were up to 50 percent more productive than those using other web application frameworks.

“Sencha’s focus on reducing cost and complexity to develop and deliver web applications is a powerful fit with our development tools business,” said Randy Jacops, CEO of IDERA, Inc. “We are very excited about this space and expect to continue to improve and invest in our developer tools capability.”

Sencha’s web application development tools power thousands of data-intensive web applications around the world, including 60 percent of the Fortune 100 companies. The company continues to innovate, recently delivering the much-anticipated Sencha Ext JS 6.5 and ExtReact for adding powerful UI components to React applications.

Sencha’s industry accolades include being named a winner in the User Experience category for the 2017 SD Times 100 Awards, and a CODiE Award finalist in the “Best Mobile Development Solution” for Sencha Ext JS.

“Sencha matches our mission to deliver agile development tools to our growing global community of developers,” said Atanas Popov, General Manager of Embarcadero. “It broadens the languages we support by adding JavaScript, and delivers broad synergies with our existing product portfolio. For example, Sencha Ext JS will provide a powerful Web Framework for Embarcadero’s RAD Studio to complement our native frameworks, including VCL for Windows and FMX for Mobile.”

“We believe joining the IDERA developer tools family will enhance Sencha’s R&D and go-to-market capabilities,” said Art Landro, CEO of Sencha. “This is a logical step in our efforts to continue opening our product frameworks by making them interoperable with new technologies to maximize customer value.”

uniGUI will continue to thrive. OEM agreement will remain intact. That's why you have an agreement in the first place

This is great news! It is something that has been in the works for a while, and I am really excited about. We see adding Sencha as a complementary technology to our (Embarcadero's) current development stack. There are already multiple frameworks that integrate Sencha into the Delphi & C++Builder ecosystem: Kitto and UniGUI being two of the more prevalent ones. We'll work on improving their interoperability, including promoting of these and other existing libraries and the development of web client frameworks of our own.

For a long time, our developers have asked for a 1st class web development framework. Adding Sencha is the key for that. This is part of our vision for an open and more connected ecosystem that provides many options to our developers. It is a good time to be a Delphi developer, and it keeps getting better.

Próximo paso, next step, consecuencia lógica por si misma........ próxima versión = subida de precios.
