Pues mi versión del report builder es vieja es la 7.04, y la ayuda viene muy concisa, tal vez en las versiones mas nuevas vengan ejemplos pero en esta ya le busque y no vienen mas que definiciones, como por ejemplo para el evento aftergenerate solo viene esta definición sin ningún ejemplo:

The AfterGenerate event fires after the band prints. Use the AfterGenerate event when you want to perform actions after a band has printed. AfterGenerate differs from AfterPrint in that AfterPrint print fires every time a band has the opportunity to print. Sometimes the band has an opportunity to print, but for various reasons does not (usually printing on the next page instead.) In these cases, AfterPrint will fire, but AfterGenerate will not.
