El componente tiene una funcion que indica si ya esta registrado
puedes usar algo como esto:

If not FRMTRIAL.mxProtector.IsRegistered Then
Begin
frmtrial.Showmodal;
mainfrm.GSREGISTRO :='Sin Registrar';
end
