Hiperenlaces maliciosos: cómo protegerte (by MS)

Leyendo un documento de MS sobre los peligros de los "hiperenlaces maliciosos" (aquellos que muestran una dirección, pero te llevan a otra) en documentos hipertexto, y las recomendaciones que MS da para evitarlos, uno se encuentra con perlas como esta:

"Things that you can do to help protect yourself from malicious hyperlinks
The most effective step that you can take to help protect yourself from malicious hyperlinks is not to click them. Rather, type the URL of your intended destination in the address bar yourself. By manually typing the URL in the address bar, you can verify the information that Internet Explorer uses to access the destination Web site. To do so, type the URL in the Address bar, and then press ENTER

The only way that you can verify the information that Internet Explorer will use to access the destination Web site is by manually typing the URL in the address bar."

Sí, sí, el método más efectivo para evitar enlaces de hipertexto maliciosos es teclear manualmente las direcciones URL en la barra de direcciones de vuestro IE. Nada de hacer clic en los hiperenlaces (¿en qué estaría pensando el tipejo que inventó el hipertexto?).

¡Córcholis!, ¿a dónde vamos a llegar?

Ya imagino la próxima versión de su cliente de mensajería instantánea con su nuevo sistema de protección, será algo parecido a esto: Ultimate Messenger (vídeo mpeg ~1,4 Mb)

Ahora que lo pienso, se me ocurre otra solución para el asunto de los "hiperenlaces maliciosos" ... no usar IE, mejor aún: no usar Windows. Así eliminaríamos varios problemas de una tacada. Por ejemplo:
