Problem Description:

You might experience a registration loop issue when you try to register Delphi 6.

A way to fix this would be to run the D6 Reg Clean.Exe file to clear the registry settings.

However, that might be dangerous since you can remove your personal settings accidentally.

Resolution:

1) Export the CURRENT_USER\Delphi6 data in the registry

2) Run the application (D6Reg Clean.Exe)

3) Re-apply the exported settings (minus the LM key) in order to re-obtain setup settings (packages, library paths, etc)

The personal settings are kept and the problem still fixed.

1º Run regedit and search for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\Delphi\6.0

2º Delete the following keys: LM, LMKEY, and LMLIC

3º Re-run the registration wizard.
