DBEdit y el tamaño

Como hago para hacer un IF con el tamaño del dbedit, asi:
if DBEdit.Tamaño_del_texto = 11 then
....
else
....

Yo resolvi. Hizo asi:

if Length(DBEdit1.Text) = 11 then
.......

La franja horaria es GMT +2. Ahora son las 23:20:55.
