Both 2.* and 3.* can be installed and used to IDE in one time.

Answer
You can convert reports from FastReport 2.* to new format using designer of FastReport 2.53:
Menu “file”->”save as…”-> “FastReport 3 format (*.fr3)”.

Question: Whether there is a converter of projects FastReport 2.xx in FastReport 3?
